Temples

Bali is filled with so many photo opportunities.  Along the backroads are colorful markets, with locally grown peanuts, fruits and vegetables. These markets were great places to get some interesting street photographs.

There are so many iconic temples in Bali like, Pura Tanah Lot, or the Frog Temple by The Lake. So many other temples fill this historic island. Distant landscapes make great backdrops for these pictures.

Rice Terraces

The Tegallalang Rice Terraces of Ubud, is another great place of interest to see and photograph. Lots of walking paths around the rice paddies that you can hike. Make sure you bring good hiking shoes.

Traditional Villages

Penglipuran is a traditional Indonesian village, and the place to go to see incredible architecture of the eighteenth century. The homes and dwellings are full of bright colored flower gardens, and traditional Indonesian architecture. Just like a scene out of a Disney movie.

Photographing Bali was fantastic, but to get better than average images, be prepared to do a lot of walking or hiking. Bring lots of sunscreen and light clothing, because it can get extremely hot and humid during the day. We found a local driver to keep as our tour guide as well. A lot of the native Balinese people do not speak english well, so having a local driver who can help out is well worth it.
